The shopping center where it is located also has a former Walmart that is now a lumber/hardware store. The main highway (290) that runs through town has most of the area retail and traffic so it is no surprise that this store is closing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2047095566316955789.post-16414904953363932182015-01-20T07:49:55.058-08:002015-01-20T07:49:55.058-08:00Most of these are small market malls, which as a g...Most of these are small market malls, which as a general rule have had trouble holding on to shoppers who are an hour less from much larger super-regionals. A couple of these malls are clearly dying--for example, Macy and JCPenney are closing at Upper Valley.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2047095566316955789.post-34415868623272602012015-01-08T18:12:49.658-08:002015-01-08T18:12:49.658-08:00It doesn't look good for a lot of small and me...It doesn't look good for a lot of small and medium market malls. I think a number of these malls may have already (or will be loosing) a Sears, Kmart, or Macy's, which just announced 14 closings.

MACY'S INC. Having the list of closings and all of the pictures of these locations together and the other information about their malls really drives home how devastating these 40 closings really are. I have a feeling a few malls got their death certificate signed today.Jamie Middletonhttp://www.panoramio.com/user/8544889?show=allnoreply@blogger.com
