Do you have any info on that or can you get the info? That was a shame. It wa a beautiful place in its day. I loved going there but it was easy to get lost with all the different roads to get into certain stores. I think the stores outside the mall on the road, McDonalds, Big Lots, Cracker Barrel and A&A Auto Parts are still there.deal.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08751221367871457908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2047095566316955789.post-30131304829949853332017-07-24T22:17:14.321-07:002017-07-24T22:17:14.321-07:00Glad I could help. Those of us involved are in a race against time to get them all documented before they're gone.J.T.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04208881715255029485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2047095566316955789.post-17157020175757569992017-07-19T14:12:42.424-07:002017-07-19T14:12:42.424-07:00Thanks for adding the link and the tips. It's not too often one sees Ames signage these days either.

This mall, like a lot of small town small malls, is full of some real oddball tenants. Sports cards stores were popular in Houston malls in the 1990s, but they kind of died off when the sports cards craze died out in the early 2000s. It's interesting to see one still around, but I think PA has more of a pro sports culture than Texas does. The oddity of the Country Nut Store speaks for itself. The oddest thing to me is a whole store dedicated to lottery. In Texas, lotto stuff can be purchased from any grocery store or C-store. There's really no need for a dedicated store for it. Are stores like Sam's Lotto common in this part of the country?

The presence of a Goodwill automatically makes this mall more interesting than many much larger big city non-Sears malls that only have shoe stores and women's clothing. Unfortunately, this seems like a small Goodwill that may not have much in terms of electronics and stuff like that. Oh well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
